In the solar industry, the term Tier-1 is used to assess the financing capacity of manufacturers over a period of time, primarily for large-scale projects.

4. Tier-1 qualification is a label that accompanies the module throughout its life. FALSE.
A manufacturer’s ability to qualify for Tier-1 only exists for a given quarter. It is not an approval or certification that will accompany a particular module throughout its existence.

Module ranking reports provide module buyers with a financial and volumetric overview of selected module manufacturers for financiers seeking to finance large-scale projects.
